Site Re-engineering
for Dynamic Optimisation
This document outlines the structure
of work required to configure the website so that dynamic URL’s
of product and categories level will be displayed as static
URL’s which will allow search engines to crawl and index
the site more easily.Here, we have explained how we have undertaken
for one of our customer.

Work outline
The work process for this is detailed
below:
Categories level:
Previously Holcroscycles website link structure was like below
City & Trekking-> http://www.holcroscycles.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=56
As you can see the above link contains
a “?” so this URL is not SEO friendly and search
engine will find hard to crawl the entire site. To address
this issue, we have reengineered the script so that it look
like a static URL to the outside world like http://www.holcroscycles.com/product/56/city-trekking.htm
As you can see this URL looks like
static and it contains the keyword so it is more search engine
friendly and all search engines can easily crawl the website.
Addition to this all categories page keywords will be displayed
dynamically which will look like below:
<Title>holcros city trekking </Title>
<META NAME="keywords" CONTENT="city trekking">
<META NAME="description" CONTENT="Bringing
you the best city trekking bikes for all ages, styles and
budgets">
Sub Category Level:
Like category section, the concept
has been applied for the subcategories section.
City & Trekking->
=>City & Trekking Gents
=>City & Trekking Ladies

Product Level:
Like category and sub category section
the same concept has been applied for the product section
as well and the URL for this section has been changed and
it is looking like static URL.

you create new ategory/subcategory/product pages.

to crawl the entire site hence the site was not indexed in
google but now it has been indexed very well in google and
as a result of this our customer has started getting inquiries.
